Casa de las Ratas Week 28

up to August 10, 2002

coming along...

Toto is painting the chainlink that nice dark blue.

Extra insulation was put in many of the interior walls for sound barrier. Like if you are making a lot of personal noise in the bathroom, perhaps you don't want that amplified throughout the house...

This insulation prevents all those "bedroom noises" from escaping.

And who wants to have to listen to the washing machine make a bunch of noise?

.

All the insulation is complete and Andy the Building Inspector gave us the go ahead for the next step.

Then the drywall was delivered!

Toto went ahead and painted the living room beams.

We attacked the ceiling drywall with much enthusiasm.

Measure twice, cut once... yeah right.

New toys time!

I got this nifty magazine attachment for a screw gun. This blasts drywall screws in as fast as you can push the nose to the drywall. Killer time saver.

Bedroom #2 has all its ceiling drywall up.

The closets' ceilings are up.

The front room ceiling wasn't too hard to put up.

Here it is done.

The boyz did a great job.

Hey watch where you point that thing, Manny!

Meanwhile Paco is still dealing with the windows...

And removing tape...

And painting the window sills...

And we are getting the front entryway cleaned up.
