CES 2007 was OFF DA HOOK....

Here displayed were prototypes of the Manta Ray and Stingray II integrated amplifiers we are working on.

We mocked the GES with these.

And we exposed the Venetian's In Room Dining Catering Menu to the world.

Yes, those are prices listed in United States Dollars, not Mexican New Pesos.

Dauray family going to jail again: EveAnna and Chris entice one of our best dealers, Mike Holm from Holm Audio in Chicago, with some CONTRABAND M&M's as well as an ILLEGITIMATE PRESENTATION OF ILLEGAL CHEESE AND CRACKER GARNISH!

Oh my goodness! Just look at that roll of banned adhesive material! Do not disseminate! Do NOT disseminate!

I was in disguise badged as Kevin's dog so the GES police wouldn't know who they had yelled at on the phone as I roamed incognito in the halls with craftily orchestrated impunity.

And we ourselves will always be as ridiculous as possible.

Kevin's grill says "TUBES" because he sells tubes while mine says "RULE" because I do.

AH Yes! The NEW MANLEY TUBE AMPS!

Manley Labs has not one, but TWO brand new integrated vacuum tube amplifiers to introduce at CES 2007. Both designs share new modern infrastructure: fully featured RF/IR remote controls, multiple I/O ports including a dedicated iPod dock USB input, S-Video Outs for the video iPods, and headphone jacks for maximum convenience and flexibility. Both units sport subwoofer and record output jacks, as well as switchable Tape Loop Inserts.

THE MANTA RAY is effectively a stereo integrated version of the popular and proven SNAPPER mono amplifiers. There are five sets of line inputs on the MANTA RAY, one of which can switch between XLR balanced or unbalanced RCA jacks. The EL34 output tubes are configured to produce 100 watts maximum power per channel in Ultra Linear mode. Expect MSRP to be around $4000 USD.

THE STINGRAY® II is the successor model to the legendary Manley Stingray®, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2007. The STINGRAY II's power supply has been beefed up to MAHI standards with a quadrupling of the B+ rail energy storage to 180 joules for an even more solid sonic foundation in the bass region. Four EL84 output tubes yield around 20 watts of Triode power or about twice that in Ultra Linear mode. Retail is predicted to come in around $2750.

Stingray II will be a new thing with this new remote system. Older Version I Stingray cannot be "converted" or "upgraded" to Stingray II. All different everything.

Production for both new models is slated to begin Summer 2007. Final pricing will be determined at that time.

Here's Manley's North American Hifi Sales Dude, Albert Schippits, (on the right), signing up a new Texan dealer, Michael from Blue Glow Audio in Dallas.

You're supposed to sign up new dealers at CES. Or at least get to meet them.

How 'bout that new booth backdrop!

Looks FRESH, huh?

Enough of that.... I mean we were there to hang out with our hifi pals, not sell more gear....

...cuz we sold Grover some gear LAST year!

Grover is keeping vinyl very much alive at Warner Brothers, with passion!

Good to see you again!

...At the Stereophile party with our Singaporean importer, Ivan from Norman Audio.

Ivan was especially happy this year showing off photos of his new beautiful bride!

Demonstrating his enormous strength, George Massenburg effortlessly passes a mongo Manley 250 watt monoblock to The Vanimal.

I forget what George and Kevin were demonstrating here, but it certainly makes for a silly enough picture.

Probably instigated by George with his "Tubes do NOT Rule" mantra...

We argue about this all the time.
